Overview

In this journey we have selected our favourite known and lesser known highlights. You start in the north of India. Here, we will visit first Delhi and Agra where world famous Symbol of Love – Taj Mahal located then fly to the green state of Kerala in the south of the country for a completely different experience. a trekking in nature in search of elephants, encounters with the locals, an overnight stay on a boat; it all comes along. Expansion with a few days of beach is also possible. We are sure that during this trip you will fall in love with the versatile India!

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi

Arrive Delhi, individual transfers to the hotel, overnight in Delhi

Day 02: Delhi

After breakfast at the hotel a brief on the tour followed by a half day tour of Delhi visiting Humayu’s Tomb and Jama Masjid and drive past India gate, parliament House and Palace of president. Later return to the hotel for an early night.

Day 03: Delhi – Agra

Early morning train to Agra, upon arrival proceed to Taj Mahal and view the beautiful monument and later visit the Agra Fort …..Sketch the beautiful monuments Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.

Day 04: Agra – Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri

Drive from Agra to Bharatpur via Fatehpur Sikri

Optional sunrise visit to Taj Mahal, return to the hotel for late breakfast and later check out and proceed to the beautiful monuments of Fatehpur Sikri. Here we can spend 3-4 hours exploring its numerous sights and sketching.

Later drive to the nearby town of Bharatpur followed by late lunch and here stay at a beautiful heritage hotel “ Laxmi Vilas palace” and enjoy its beauty and history.

Day 05:  Bharatpur – Delhi – Cochin

After Breakfast and check out from hotel and drive to Delhi Airport to board Evening flight for Cochin, Here upon arrival in Cochin and transfer to the Cherai Beach Resort.

Day 06: Cochin

Morning tour of Madhavan Nayar Foundation and History Musuem. Later in Afternoon at leisure for personal activities Vehicle and driver at disposal.

Day 07: Cochin – Alleppey

Drive to Alleppey, stopping along the way to sketch one of the many shaded canals.

Rest of day at leisure in Alleppey. Vehicle and driver at disposal.

Day 08:  Allepey

Transfer to jetty to board Houseboat.  Enjoy a boat trip along the beautiful backwater canals of Kerala is a highlight of any visit to the South.

Day 09:  Alleppey – Periyar

Disembark houseboat in Alleppey and then drive to Periyar.

Afternoon visit to a Spice Plantation.

Enjoy Sunset Boat ride around the splendid Lake Periyar to experience the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary.

Day 10: Periyar – Cochin

Drive to Cochin and transfer to hotel, After have some rest at hotel then we proceed to cochin city tour our first visit to the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace) & The Jewish synagogue Later we will visit Cochin harbour terminus where the Chinese fishing nets present a wonderful sight; and St Francis Church.

This evening enjoy a Kathakali Dance show.

Day 11: Cochin (Departure)

Morning visit to the Dutch Palace.

Afternoon cooking Demo including lunch.Late evening transfer to Cochin airport for onward flight
